Itinerary

Your day begins with a pick-up from your accommodation, travelling west across changing landscapes. Along the way, we stop at one of our hand-selected coffee venues, giving you time to enjoy a quality brew and ease into the day.

We arrive in Mareeba in the early morning, the ideal time to visit a Nature Park, offering one of the best chances to see rock wallabies among dramatic granite formations, along with abundant birdlife.

Next, we travel to the picturesque village of Yungaburra, where you’ll enjoy lunch at one of our selected venues and time to explore boutique shops and heritage streetscapes.

The afternoon features some of the Tablelands’ most iconic natural locations:

  • Peterson Creek, a well-known wildlife corridor where we search for the elusive Lumholtz’s tree kangaroo and platypus

  • Lake Eacham, a pristine volcanic crater lake surrounded by ancient rainforest

  • The Curtain Fig Tree, one of Australia’s most impressive rainforest giants

After a full day of exploration, we return via scenic Tablelands roads, dropping you back at your accommodation in the late afternoon.

(Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed, but locations are chosen for the best possible chances.)
