Lunch is flexible and chosen by guests, either at the Kuranda Markets (Thursday–Sunday) or a local restaurant or café.

Return Journey Options

Standard Return (Included)
The default return follows the scenic Kuranda Range, descending toward Cairns before rejoining the iconic Captain Cook Highway, offering rainforest and coastal viewpoints on the journey back to Port Douglas.

Extended Scenic Return – Atherton Tablelands (Optional)
For guests seeking a longer, more immersive experience, the return journey can be extended via the Atherton Tablelands, revealing a dramatic shift in landscapes, including:

  • Open savannah and volcanic terrain

  • Birdwatching locations with hides and observation towers
  • Excellent opportunities for wildlife and landscape photography

This option is ideal for photography and birdwatching enthusiasts and is tailored daily based on weather, light, and wildlife activity.
